Byron Bay, NSW, Australia.
Half Day Tour, 1:30am – 5pm

Arrive at the Byron Bay Centre for Story telling and view video to
hear the history of the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation.
Travel to the Lighthouse, Australia’s most easterly point, for
storytelling and a light refreshment.
Your guide will take you on a walk to see a traditional midden a
site where the debris from eating shellfish and other food has
accumulated over time.
Shell middens tell a lot about the Arakwal
people’s activities in the past. The types of shells in a midden can
show the types of marine environment that was used, and the time of
year when the tribe used it.
