Mullumbimby and Byron Bay
Full Day Tour: 9am – 5pm

Leave Byron Bay for an hours drive to Mullumbimby Park where you will be
greeted by a Madhima Gulgan Elder with a traditional Bundjalung welcome.
Hear the story of the Bundjalung Nation, its history and the connection with
the land. The tour follows heritage trails and you will visit waterfalls, creeks
and beaches. Mt Chinocogan is in the centre of this lush and fertile valley.
Travel to North Head to undertake a bush food walk where the guide will show
you many types of native foods and medicines used the Madhima Gulgan people.
Take in the spectacular views at the beach.
Enjoy a buffet lunch of bush food such as Roo Kebabs, Pippi Curry and
fresh fish.
Arrive at the Byron Bay Centre for storytelling and
view a video to hear the history of the people of
the Bundjalung Nation.
Travel to the Lighthouse, Australia’s most easterly
point, for storytelling and a light refreshment.
Your guide will take you on a walk to see a traditional midden a site where
the debris from eating shellfish and other food has accumulated over time.
Shell middens tell a lot about the Arakwal people’s activities in the past.
The types of shells in a midden can show the types of marine environment
that was used, and the time of year when the tribe used it.
